Just a little bump for our first meeting at the new venue and time.

Some of the NRAS team will be attending as they'll be in Birmingham at the BSR conference.

New members always welcome :)

Hi Jo

Good luck with this meeting, hope you get a great response. Have you posted it up on Health Unlocked? There's a lot of traffic on there these days!

Hi Lyn,

Thanks!! I'm hoping it goes well too, have a few new members planning to turn up :) I Thought I'd replied to this already :( I did post it to HU, but I think it soon got buried under the other traffic on there.

Take care!!

Just wish the meetings started a bit later, it's impossible to get back from work in Dudley across to Kings Heath by 6pm, otherwise I'd consider attending.Huh

Hi Nicola,

We're always looking at ways of improving the group for those who would like to attend, what sort of times would be easier for you and I can bring it up :)

Best Wishes

Special joint meeting of the Birmingham and Solihull NRAS groups this Thursday. Jamie Hewitt NRAS government affairs manager at NRAS will be talking on the work NRAS have been doing on both the planned Health and welfare reforms and it's possible impact on those with RA. Everyone welcome and you do NOT have to be an NRAS member to attend.

Hi Jo

Something closer to 7pm to be honest but if they're two hour meetings, I suppose that may be too late for many. I know how I feel many evenings.

Thanks

Hi folks

We're currently looking at introducing Birmingham NRAS group meetings at a second location for 2012 and are looking to gauge what demand there might be. There has already been an encouraging number of people on the north side of Birmingham to investigate this further.

These meetings would be in addition to the current meetings held in south Birmingham at alternating venues.

We're currently looking at holding the meetings in Sutton Coldfield, on alternate months to enable people from surrounding area's that may just be outside of Birmingham the possibility of attending.

If anyone is interested can they leave a reply here, or register interest on the current poll on the Birmingham NRAS group Facebook page or with the NRAS office.

Thanks :)

Jo. x

EDIT - Post edited to clear up any confusion :) It won't be a new group, but an expansion of the area covered by the current Birmingham group. Apologies for any confusion caused

Great idea Jo; it's something we too need to consider for the future as the Fylde Coast is such a large area. It will be interesting to see how you go with this ThumpUp
